Inside the Series
• Tuesday's matchup marks the 76th meeting all-time and second this season between ORU and Oklahoma State.

• The Cowboys claimed the first meeting this season, 9-4, back on March 23 in Tulsa. Caleb Denny drove in a team-high two runs in the loss for the Golden Eagles.

• All-time, ORU holds a 38-37 edge in the series. In Stillwater, the Golden Eagles are 13-19.

• Head Coach Ryan Folmar is 10-5 all-time against his alma mater.

• ORU pushed their win streak to four games and reclaimed sole possession of first place in the Summit League with a three-game sweep of Western Illinois over the weekend.

• On the mound, the Golden Eagles received strong performances from Isaac Coffey, Kaleb McCullough and Cade Denton en route to the sweep. Coffey, the reigning Summit League Pitcher of the Week, tossed his fourth career shutout in game one of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing only two hits and striking out a season-best eight batters. The junior faced only one batter over the minimum in the win. McCullough and Denton each registered saves of at least three innings over the weekend. 

• Offensively, ORU was led by Joshua Cox, the reigning Summit League Player of the Week, who went 5-for-7 with a home run and five RBIs in two starts over the weekend. 

• In midweek contests, the Golden Eagles are 7-3 this season.

• In the Summit League, ORU's offense ranks first in batting average (.285), runs (231), hits (319), doubles (61), triples (13), RBIs (211), walks (164) and on-base percentage (.383). On the mound, the Golden Eagles lead the conference in strikeouts (306).

• Nationally, ORU enters the week ranked 18th in triples per game (0.39), 19th in triples, 21st in WHIP (1.26), 22nd in fielding percentage (0.978), 23rd in walks allowed per nine innings (3.32), 24th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.91) and 29th in hits allowed per nine innings (8.02).

• Caleb Denny continues to sit atop the Summit League in RBIs with 33, while Jackson Loftin remains the league leader in runs scored with 35. On the bump, Ledgend Smith ranks first among the conference in wins with five.

• ORU was selected as the unanimous favorite to retain their regular-season crown in the 2022 Summit League Preseason Coaches' poll, garnering 36 points and all six of the possible first-place votes they could attain.

• RHP Isaac Coffey earned plenty of preseason accolades as the junior was selected as the Summit League Preseason Pitcher of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. The Goleta, California, native also garnered Preseason All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball. Joshua Cox was selected as the Summit League Player of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. Brooks Fowler garnered Preseason Summit League Freshman of the Year honors from D1 Baseball.

Scouting the Opponent
• Oklahoma State is coming off a 2-1 series win over West Virginia over the weekend to claim sole possession of first place in the Big 12. Over their last 10 contests, the Cowboys are 7-3.

• Jake Thompson leads the way offensively for Oklahoma State with a .316 average and 35 RBIs. Four Cowboys have totaled at least 20 RBIs on the season.

• In midweek contests this season, Oklahoma State is 7-2.

• The Cowboys are led by Head Coach Josh Holliday, who enters his 10th season at the helm of Oklahoma State. In his career, Holliday is 5-10 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
