SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team lost its opening match of the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational to host Missouri State in three sets (18-25, 16-25, 19-25) Friday night at Hammons Student Center.
ORU's attack failed to get in sync against the Bears strong defense and was limited to a -.007 hitting percentage, only reaching a positive number in the final set with 12 kills.

- Picht was able to find space over the top of the MSU block and reach double-figure kills for the first time in 2018 and third time in her career.
- Morgan Blomquist tallied ORU's only solo block and registered a pair of block assists, while Taylan Nero posted a team-best three block assists. Blomquist and Nero also hit three kills apiece.
- Bria Bergman led all players with 23 set assists and recorded eight digs, but was held without a kill for the first time this season.
- MSU out-dug the Golden Eagles by a 72-56 margin.
