BROOKINGS, S.D. – Fresh off a pair of Summit League wins at home to begin the conference slate, the Oral Roberts volleyball team hits the road for three matches in five days starting Friday night at South Dakota State.

•The Golden Eagles got off to a perfect start in Summit League action picking up a pair of four-set wins at home over Fort Wayne and Western Illinois. ORU now faces its most difficult road stretch of the season traveling more than 1,700 miles to and from the Dakotas for its next three matches in a span of five days.

Laura Milos earned her record 13th Summit League Offensive Player of the Week award Monday after leading ORU with 41 kills over the weekend. She remains the conference's offensive leader posting 261 kills averaging 5.02 kills per set, ranking third nationally, and is just 23 kills away from 2,000 in her illustrious career.

•Setters Lucija Bojanjac and Bria Bergman have provided ORU consistent play as nearly interchangeable parts in the lineup tallying 280 and 273 assists, respectively.

CeCe Madison has hit double-digit kills in her last seven appearances and ranks fifth in The Summit League with 165 kills and 3.17 kills per set behind a team-best five double-doubles.

•ORU holds a 12-4 edge in the all-time series with SDSU winning six-straight matches over the Jackrabbits, but trails in the series against North Dakota State (7-15) and South Dakota (2-6) dropping the last three to the Bison and the previous four to the Coyotes.

•SDSU fell twice during its opening weekend of league play to Omaha and NDSU and has lost 13 of its last 14 matches since a win in the season opener. Makenzie Hennen paces three players averaging more than two kills per set totaling 117 kills this season.

•NDSU has won seven-consecutive matches, including a pair in conference play against rivals USD and SDSU. The Bison won three of four non-conference tournaments aided by offensive catalysts Erika Gelzinyte and McKenzie Burke hitting 159 and 140 kills, respectively, and three-time defensive player of the week, Mikaela Purnell (5.96 digs per set).

•USD split on week one of league play defeating WIU in five sets before a four-set loss to NDSU. Rachel Schmidt ranks second in the conference averaging 3.40 kills per set, while Hayley Dotseth has tallied 152 kills.

•Head Coach Sheera Sirola, ORU's all-time winningest coach, welcomed seven newcomers to the lineup, including two transfers and five freshmen.

•The Golden Eagles have reached the conference tournament each of the last five seasons. They were eliminated in the semifinals by host and top-seed Denver in 2016.
