CONWAY, Ark. – After the cancelation of the USF Classic, the Oral Roberts volleyball team added a pair of matches at the University of Central Arkansas Classic Friday, Sept. 8 at the Farris Center. The Golden Eagles meet Central Florida at 10 a.m. and close the day against Southern at 2 p.m.

•Due to the threat of Hurricane Irma to the state of Florida, the USF Classic scheduled for this weekend in Tampa, Florida, was canceled. The Golden Eagles were forced to make a last-minute schedule addition to pick up a pair of matches at the UCA Classic in Conway, Arkansas, Friday, Sept. 8. ORU makes a quick trip to face UCF (10 a.m.) and Southern (2 p.m.).

•After sweeping Arkansas on its home floor a season ago, ORU traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where the Razorbacks got their revenge in a three-set sweep Tuesday night.

•UCF enters the weekend with an even 3-3 record having won two of three at the Sunshine State Classic winning over Florida Atlantic and Florida Gulf Coast Friday before falling in straight sets to Miami Saturday.

•Southern has had an extremely difficult time getting on the court during the early stages of the 2017 campaign as its match at McNeese State followed by a tournament at Lamar in Beaumont, Texas, were all canceled for weather related issues. The Jaguars have played just three times, falling in each contest at a tournament hosted by UT Arlington.

Laura Milos has led ORU in kills in every match this year reaching double figures in all seven contests, including a pair of 20+ efforts in back-to-back efforts. She was electric during the final two sets at Arkansas posting 15 kills to only two errors on her way to 19 kills. The senior earned all-tournament team honors at both Purdue and Nebraska.

•Setters Bria Bergman and Lucija Bojanjac continue to split time with Bergman tallying 126 set assists, including a career-best 31 against Saint Mary's, while Bojanjac has totaled 116 as she is 202 assists away from tying the all-time record at ORU.

•Newcomer CeCe Madison has made a significant impact for the Golden Eagles as an offensive option hitting double-figure kills in her first four appearances. The Midlothian, Texas, native is averaging 3.08 kills per set and added seven service aces.

•ORU returned all six starters as well as its libero from a 2016 squad that advanced to the conference tournament semifinals for the first time in The Summit League since 2011.

•Head Coach Sheera Sirola, ORU's all-time winningest coach, welcomed seven newcomers to the lineup, including two transfers and five freshmen.

•The Golden Eagles have reached the conference tournament each of the last five seasons. They were eliminated in the semifinals by host and top-seed Denver in 2016.
