Volleyball Continues Road Swing at Central Arkansas Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts volleyball team will continue tournament play this weekend as they travel to Conway for the Central Arkansas Invitational Friday and Saturday. 

The Golden Eagles open action on Friday with a pair of matches beginning with Alcorn St. at noon before taking on the host Sugar Bears at 7 p.m. ORU will then play two matches on Saturday against Incarnate Word at 10 a.m. before wrapping up action at 2:30 p.m. against Louisiana-Monroe. 

Video will be available for only the match against Central Arkansas while live stats will be available throughout the weekend.

► ORU comes into the weekend with winning records over three of its opponents while the Golden Eagles will faceoff with Alcorn St. for the first time ever in program history. ORU leads the all-time series with Central Arkansas, 5-3. The Warhawks trail ORU 7-2 while Incarnate Word has not picked up a victory in two ties. 

► Junior Laura Milos is coming off a successful first weekend on the court. The Porec, Croatia sits top-5 in the nation in two offensive categories including 4th in attacks per set (14.10) and 4th in kills per set at 5.60. Milos is also third in the nation with 6.20 points per set. She recorded her 22nd double-double of her career in Saturday's win over UTEP.  

► ORU's triple threat on the front line came to life in the Golden Eagles' final game last weekend as Laura Milos (28), Shelby Cox (14) and Megan Doran (10) each finished with double-digit kills. Cox was just one kill away from tying a career high while Doran did set a new career high in the category. As a squad, the Golden Eagles set a season high with a .266 attack percentage. 

► Milos has been tabbed as a Summit League Player to Watch coming into the 2016 season. The Zagreb, Croatia native is coming off a First Team AVCA All-Midwest Region award as well as being named a First Team All-League member in 2015. Milos earned the League's Offensive Player of the Week award five times last season. 

► ORU returns top kill and assist leaders Laura Milos (5.07 k/s) and Lucija Bojanjac (10.71 a/s) from a year ago. Milos, a junior, continues to climb the ORU record book in career kills, sitting eighth all-time with 1,141 kills after two seasons with the Golden Eagles. Bojanjac currently sits sixth in the ORU recordbook with 2,632 assists in her career. 

► The Golden Eagles received 42 points in The Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll and were slated to finish fourth in the League.
