Women’s Tennis Competes in ITA Regionals

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Oral Roberts women's tennis team had plenty of success as the Golden Eagles competed in the ITA Regionals hosted by the University of Kansas October 19-21 in Lawrence, Kansas.


 Jovana Antonijevic advanced to the quarterfinals of singles consolation, the best in ORU women's tennis history. Antonijevic advanced by default over Agne Cepelyte from the University of Arkansas to advance to the quarterfinal round before falling to Berta Masip of Arkansas State.


"Jovana made history in the ORU Women's Tennis Program by making it to day three and losing in the quarters of Consolation," Head Coach Beverly Dawson said. "I am so excited to see Jovana growing into a leader and producing huge wins for the university."


Up Next:

The Golden Eagles will round out their fall schedule with a trip to Northridge, California, to face Cal State Northridge November 10-12.
