TULSA, Okla. – The No. 3 seed Oral Roberts women's soccer team will battle No. 2 seed South Dakota State, Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. CT, in the first round of the Summit League Women's Soccer Championships, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, in Brookings, S.D.

SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS
South Dakota State ran through Summit League, losing its only match to Denver in the regular season finale, 2-1. Two-time Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year Maggie Smither has been near perfect between the pipes, logging a nation-leading 13 shutouts with 87 saves. Senior forward Leah Manuleleua leads the Jackrabbits offense in points (24), goals (10) and assists (4). Her 24 points is tied for first in the league, while her 10 goals are second best.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The two teams last squared off just under a month ago on Oct. 10 as ORU fell, 1-0, in a near four and half hour game due to multiple lightning delays. Oral Roberts is 1-11-1 all-time against the Jackrabbits. The last time these two teams faced off in post season action was for the 2016 Summit League Championships, which ORU eventually fell short in penalty kicks.
LAST TIME OUT
Oral Roberts defeated Purdue Fort Wayne, 2-0, to clinch the No. 3 seed. Jordan Langebartels dominated from beginning to end as she netted goals in the first and second periods. Langebartels led the attack hitting the frame eight times in 11 attempts. Freshman Allison Austin recorded her seven saves to secure her third career shutout.
IT'S IN THE RECORD BOOKS
Multiple Golden Eagles are leaving their names in the Oral Roberts record books and continue to climb up the lists. Senior defender Brooklyn owns the school record for minutes played with 5,496 and counting, while fellow teammate Jordan Langebartels has propelled herself to No. 4 on the all-time career goals scored list with 21 and ranks No. 8 on the all-time career points list with 53.
SUMMIT LEAGUE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Langebartels took home Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honors, for the week of Oct. 28-Nov.3. Langebartels netted four goals in two matches and leads The Summit with seven goals during league action. Fellow Golden Eagle, Allison Austin was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week, for her efforts during the week of Oct. 22-27. It was the first accolade for both.
MISTER ROGER'S NEIGHBORHOOD
Head Coach Roger Bush is back for his seventh season leading the Golden Eagles, after six seasons Bush has a 62-61-12 record at ORU. Student-athletes under Bush have earned 26 all-conference honors, 13 player of the week awards and two have earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. Bush was named the 2016 Summit League Women's Coach of the Year.
SUMMIT LEAGUE PRESEASON OUTLOOK
A year after finishing 3-5-0 in league play, the Golden Eagles were picked to finish seventh in the 2019 Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll. Senior midfielder Jordan Langenbartels was one of 13 athletes named to the The Summit League Players to Watch List, Langenbartels led the Golden Eagles with career-highs in goals (7) and points (18) despite only appearing in 15 of 20 matches.
