Golden Eagles Stun Missouri State in Overtime, 3-2

TULSA, Okla. – Nelly Mamabolo scored the golden goal to lift the ORU women's soccer team past Missouri State, 3-2, in overtime Sunday afternoon at the Case Soccer Complex.

The Golden Eagles jumped out first to a 1-0 lead with a score in the fifth minute of play by McKenzie Edwards. Edwards took a pass from Daniella De Sousa and connected with the back of the net from 10 yards out for her second goal of the season. De Sousa was credited with the assist.

Missouri State tied the match 1-1 in the 63rd minute when Olina Einarsdottir scored a header goal off of a corner kick by Jacqueline Baetz.

The Bears took the lead in the 68th minute, 2-1, when Emma Skornia scored from 20 yards out off of a cross from Brooke Prondzinski.

Jordan Langebartels tied the match 2-2 for the Golden Eagles with three minutes to play in the second half. Langebartels scored from 16 yards out off of an Amogelang Motau assist for her fifth goal of the season and sent the game to overtime.

In the overtime period, with just more than one minute Nelly Mamabolo scored the game winning goal for ORU from six yards out from the left side. Langebartels was credited with the assist. It was Mamabolo's first goal of the season.
