LaCourse is a sophomore on the Golden Eagles squad and was one of 11 players named to the Academic All-District first team in district seven. Herrera is a senior forward on the women's team and was also one of 11 student-athletes named to the first team from district seven. They both will now be recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams recognize individual student-athletes for their performance athletically as well as academically. Herrera started in two games this season for the Golden Eagles and recorded one assist during the season. She is a health and exercise science major and holds a 3.99 GPA. LaCourse started in 12 games this season and recorded 1,044 minutes of playing time. He is a business major and holds a 4.0 GPA.
Oral Roberts University is in CoSIDA district seven which is comprised of schools from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
