Women’s Soccer Ties Tulsa in Spectrum Cup

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's soccer team tied the University of Tulsa 1-1 Friday evening in the 2017 Spectrum Cup inside the Case Soccer Complex.

Rachel Thun-Blankenship put the Golden Hurricane up 1-0 early in the match in the fifth minute. Blankenship scored from inside the goalie box after she received a cross from the right side from Anna Martin. Martin was credited with the assist.

The Golden Eagle defense held Tulsa to just nine shots in the first half. In the second half, freshman Rachael Baker scored her first goal of the season and her first career goal at ORU in the 48th minute. Baker took a cross pass from the right and connected with the back of the net from six yards out. Madison Stuckey was credited with the assist.

- ORU out-shot Tulsa 42-19 in the match. The Golden Eagles had 12 shots on goal.

- Ryliegh Bohnenstiehl started and played the first 45 minutes for ORU. Bohnenstiehl recorded five saves. Paige Vincent came in and played the remaining 65 minutes and recorded three saves. Tulsa's Courtney McKeon played all 110 minutes for the Golden Hurricane and made 10 saves.

- Between the two teams there were 23 fouls. Tulsa had nine shots on goal and 11 saves. There was one yellow card given in tonight's match to Tulsa.

- Lexi Jones had four shots on goal in tonight's game.
