FORT WORTH, Texas - The Oral Roberts women's soccer team did not have an answer to the Horned Frogs offensive attack Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth, dropping its first match of the season, 4-0 at Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. 

ORU battled a barrage of attacks in the first half, including 11 TCU shot attempts. Maddie Rhodes corralled four balls in the period but in the 42nd minute of play, Meghan Murphy connected on a header inside the box to give TCU the lead. 

With momentum in their favor, TCU came out firing on all cylinders in the second half. The Horned Frogs went for 13 shots in the final period, scoring on three.

Inside the Box Score

  • TCU outshot ORU 24-12 during the match. During the first half, the Horned Frogs attempted 11 shots to ORU's four. 
  • Oral Roberts defender Ashley Martin led the squad with two shots on the day. Ten other players attempted one shot during the match. 
  • Of TCU's 24 shot attempts, 16 were on target. Michelle Prokof took a team-high five shots for the Horned Frogs.
  • ORU goalkeeper Maddie Rhodes made four saves during the first half of play.
