TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team will play the Denver Pioneers Saturday, January 20 at 2 p.m. inside the Mabee Center.

  • The Pioneers are playing under Head Coach Jim Turgeon who is in his first year at the helm.
  • Denver is currently fourth in the Summit League with a 3-2 record. The Pioneers losses come to South Dakota and South Dakota State. They enter the Mabee Center on a two-game win streak over North Dakota State and Omaha.

  • The Golden Eagles are 4-2 overall all-time against the Denver Pioneers.
  • The Golden Eagles split the two regular season matchups against Denver during the 2016-17 season. The Pioneers beat ORU, 47-45, on January 25, 2017, at the Mabee Center. The Golden Eagles then went to Denver on February 19, 2017, and beat the Pioneers 70-57.
  • Junior forward, Maria Martianez scored 18 points and recorded six rebounds in the team's last game against South Dakota. Martianez is currently tied for first in the Summit League in rebounds per game with 7.7.

Ihim was awarded her first-ever Summit League Player of the Week on December 18. She has been named one of 30 finalists for the Senior CLASS award.
  • ORU was picked to finish fourth in The Summit League according to the preseason poll. Faith Ihim and Maria Martianez were named to the Summit League preseason all-league second team.
  • Last game, Maya Mayberry scored four points at home against South Dakota. As a freshman, Mayberry is second the Summit League in three-point percentage at 46.2 percent. She is also fifth in the Summit League in overall field-goal percentage at 50.6 percent.
  • Head Coach Misti Cussen is in her sixth season at the helm for the Golden Eagles and holds an 85-88 overall head coaching record.
  • After six games, the Golden Eagles are currently fifth in the Summit League standings behind South Dakota, South Dakota State, Western Illinois and Denver.
