ORU Kicks off Action at NCAA West Preliminary

SACRAMENTO, Calif.  – The Oral Roberts track and field program started action at the NCAA West Preliminary, Thursday, with three Golden Eagles competing on the first day of the meet.  

News and Notes
- Jaden Purnell entered the meet ranked 38th in the long jump, but improved seven spots with his jump on Thursday. He will compete again in the triple jump on Saturday.

- One of the final selections into the meet, Dormeus also improved his standings, moving from 44th to 38th in the 400m dash.

- ORU's weekend will continue as the Golden Eagles compete in two women's (Kayvon Stubbs-200m, Sasha Wells-100m hurdles), and three men's events (Israel Nelson-110m hurdles, Purnell-triple jump, 4x400m relay).

Men's Long Jump
31 – Jaden Purnell – 7.20m (23-7.5)

Men's 400m Dash
38 – Brad Dormeus – 47.73

Men's Pole Vault
39 – Matt Owen – 4.81m (15-9.25)
