BROOKINGS, S.D. – With nine individual and relay titles, the Oral Roberts track and field team put the finishing touches on the 2019 Summit League Indoor Championships Presented by Air Force Special Ops Saturday at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

The Golden Eagles finished third on the women's side totaling 79 points with five titles as North Dakota State claimed another team championship, while the ORU men ended the meet in fourth place with 78 points getting four event victories. South Dakota State took the team title for the men registering its title in program history.

News and Notes
-Sasha Wells carried over her record-breaking success from Friday as the sophomore from Nassau, Bahamas, earned the title of Summit League Track Championship MVP picking up 26 team points winning a pair of individual victories.

-Brad Dormeus closed his first indoor season in brilliant fashion as the freshman was named Newcomer of the Championship posting 18.5 team points. The Nassua, Bahamas, product sprinted away from the field in the 400 meter dash in a time of 46.65 to break The Summit League meet record. He later helped the 4x400 meter relay team to an event title in the finale and added a third-place result in the 200 meter dash earlier in the meet Saturday.

-Jaden Purnell shattered his own ORU record in the triple jump leaping more than 52 feet, a full meter farther than the second-place finisher, to set the meet and facility record in the process.

-The Golden Eagles had a clean sweep of the podium spots in the women's 200 meter dash led by sophomore Kayvon Stubbs' first-ever individual title. Stubbs ran a 24.03 followed by Christina Ollison and Sasha Wells. Ollison added a conference title in the 400 meter dash and joined Stubbs, Alexa Granderson and Gabrielle Gibson in taking home a 4x400 meter relay championship.

-Israel Nelson joined Wells in sweeping the 60 meter hurdles for the Golden Eagles winning another conference championship in his illustrious career.
