TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's and women's track and field teams open the 2018-19 indoor season Friday at the Bob Timmons Challenge hosted by the University of Kansas inside Anschutz Sports Pavilion.
The meet is the first of seven on the docket for the Golden Eagles and only chance to compete in 2018 as the remaining all take place after the New Year. ORU returns from break for the Arkansas Invitational (Jan. 11) before a trip to Nebraska Jan. 25-26 for the Mark Colligan Memorial.
A busy February kicks off the first Saturday when ORU makes the short trek to Norman, Oklahoma, for the J.D. Martin Invitational (Feb. 2). Trips to Pittsburg State (Feb. 8-9) and Arkansas (Feb. 15) are slated as tune ups before the Golden Eagles travel to Macomb, Illinois, for the 2019 Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championship Feb. 22-23.
ORU is coming off a third-place finish in The Summit League for the women after the men placed fourth a year ago.
