ORU Track Inks Kinteh from Bahamas

TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts Head Track and Field Coach Joe Dial has announced the signing of LaKelle Kinteh during the early signing period.

LaKelle Kinteh // Nassau, Bahamas // Saint Augustine's College

  • Won the BAISS title in 2017
  • Holds records of 11.79 seconds (100m dash) and 5.74m (18-10) (long jump)
  • Competed with current Golden Eagle Sasha Wells at the 2018 Carifta Games, one of the largest track and field events in the Caribbean, winning the silver medal in the under 20 4x100m relay
  • Was a finalist in the long jump in both the 2018 Carifta games and the 2017 Commonwealth games
  • Chose ORU because of the "warm atmosphere I received upon arriving. ORU has a high academic standard and advanced classrooms, and because of the Christian environment."
