TULSA, Okla. – After a breakthrough sophomore season that included a run to the NCAA National Championship meet, triple jumper Jaden Purnell has picked up USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-America honors, it was announced by the organization.
Purnell was ORU's leader in both the long jump and triple jump events this season. He posted a season-best 15.80m (51-10) mark in the NCAA West Preliminary Meet to finish 12th in the region, earning the last qualifying spot in the NCAA Championship meet. With his qualification, Purnell continued ORU's streak of having at least one student-athlete qualify for the NCAA National Championship meet every year since 1996.
Purnell was also the Summit League indoor triple jump champion and had four event championships and 16 top five finishes this year.
