FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Oral Roberts track and field competed at one of the elite indoor track and field meets in the country over the weekend at the Tyson Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas inside the Randal Tyson Track Complex.

Major conferences were well represented, including the SEC, Big 12, Ivy League, and American Conferences, as the Golden Eagles showcased their talents against some of the nation's best in front of a national audience on ESPN3. Both the men's and women's teams successfully placed multiple top 10 finishers led by Mercy Abire. The freshman recorded a personal best in the long jump, which landed her in third place and ranked in both the Summit League and nationally.

News & Notes
- Abire's jump of 6.12m gave her the only top-five result for ORU at the Tyson Invitational. It also placed her 2nd in the Summit League, and in the top 50 in the nation.

- The women brought home two other top-10 finishes as Tiffany Richeson (pole vault) and Kirsten Burnett (triple jump) placed seventh in their respective events.

- The men had two top-10 performances with Justin Estala finishing eighth in the invitational round of the pole vault, while Tommy Dial ended sixth in the open pole vault.
