TULSA, Okla. – At the Pittsburg State Invitational January 29, freshman Israel Nelson etched his name at the top of the NCAA performance list as he ran 7.69 seconds in the 60m hurdles, tying him for the fastest time in the nation at that point.
His mark was a new career best and set a new school record in the event. Already a two-time Summit League Athlete of the Week honoree, the achievement earned Nelson his first career Summit League Male Athlete of the Month honor.
