Estala Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts junior pole vaulter Justin Estala has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team, it was announced Thursday. It is the second year in a row in which the ORU track and field program has had someone honored after Leif Peterson earned the distinction in 2014-15.

A two-time indoor USTFCCCA All-American in the pole vault, Estala carries a 3.84 GPA in sports management. He finished 10th in the nation at the 2016 NCAA Indoor National Championship and won five straight indoor pole vault events, including the Summit League Championship.

Estala will now be eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced at a later date.
