ORU Battles with the Best at Baylor Invitational

WACO, Texas –  The Oral Roberts track and field teams traveled down to Waco, Texas, Saturday to take part in the 2016 Baylor Invitational, competing against some of the elite collegiate and professional athletes. While there, the Golden Eagles set a number of career bests and notched eight top five finishes in the process.

News & Notes
- Blayne Hisquierdo ran 4:08.88 in the 1,500m run, smashing his previous career best of 4:17.11.

- Israel Nelson's time of 14.09 in the 110m hurdles bested his previous personal record by 0.02 seconds and earned him a runner-up finish on Saturday.

- Joshua Lee ran 9:44.65 in the 3,000m steeplechase, breaking her previous career best by nearly 30 seconds.

- Jaden Purnell took third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.38m (47-2.25), which he hit on his first attempt of the day.

Omega Reese clocked her fastest 800m time of the season at 2:13.52, just a second off her career best.

- Cameron Hilliard ran a career best 12.10 in a 14th place finish in the 100m dash.

- Kaylin Moore shattered her season best and topped her career best by more than a half second in the 100m hurdles, running 15.86 on Saturday.

- Alexis Flores put out a mark of 5.57m (18-3.25) on her fifth attempt, earning an eighth place finish with a career best performance.

- Madison Reynolds' season best time of 53.37 puts her 10th in the west region.
