LINCOLN, Neb. - Sprinters Madison Reynolds and Joseph Reis-Herron earned victories on Saturday as the Oral Roberts University men's and women's track teams competed in the Mark Colligan Memorial in Lincoln, Neb.
ORU totaled 10 top-five finishes in the meet, including Reis-Herron's first place finish in the 60-meter dash. Reis-Herron set his collegiate best time as he crossed the line at the 6.80 mark, a Summit League best this season in the event.
Reynolds earned a victory in the 400-meter dash, and contributed to a first place finish in the 4x400-meter relay. In the individual event, Reynolds improved her time this season by more than one second, crossing the line with a time of 53.89.
Reynolds' time is the 12th best performance in the nation this season, and the top mark among the Summit League in the event. She finished 2.94 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
Anchoring the 4x400-meter "A" team for the Golden Eagles, Reynolds teamed up with Asher Roberts, Tamaira Williams and Omega Reese for a first place finish with a time of 3:46.90, a conference best and national Top-50 performance.
Reese set her collegiate best mark of 2:14:35 in the 800-meter run to place second, the fourth best mark in the league this season.
Sonwabiso Skahosana and John Bradford added top three times for the men in their respective events. Skahosana improved his collegiate best time to 48.27 for a second place finish in the 400-meter dash, while Bradford recorded a third place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.32.
