ORU Track and Field Wins Four Events at Bob Timmons Challenge

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Oral Roberts University track and field teams began the indoor season Saturday at the Bob Timmons Challenge, hosted by Kansas. Both teams finished fourth overall with the men garnering 82 points, while the women earned 73 team points.

The Golden Eagles notched four individual event victories, including a sweep of the 400m dash events.

News & Notes
- Joseph Reis-Herron took the championship in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.85 seconds.
- All-American Madison Reynolds picked up where she left off last year, winning the women's 400m dash in a time of 55.56 seconds, but was never challenged. The junior took the championship by nearly two full seconds and has the third fastest time in the nation this year.
- Sonwabiso Skhosana made it a clean sweep in the 400m dash, winning the men's event in 49.24, also notching an easy two-second victory and currently has the fifth fastest time in the nation..
- With a time of 3:16.70, ORU's 4x400m relay team of Tinashe Mutanga, D'Khari Hicks, Reinhard Ndlovu and Sonwabiso Skhosana finished second overall, but has the second fastest time in the nation this year.
- Asher Roberts was victorious in the 800m run, clocking in at 2:22.45.
- Saturday was the first meet of the indoor season, and the only one on the schedule this semester.
