2014-15 #TopORUMoments; #6 – Estala Named Indoor All-American

TULSA, Okla. – Three days after learning he would be accepted into the NCAA Indoor National Championship Meet, sophomore Justin Estala finished 10th and earned USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors.

Thinking he would be on the outside looking in, Estala finished the regular season ranked 20th in the nation, with only the top 16 earning bids to the championship. Scratches and injuries moved him high enough to get in, and the sophomore did the rest, clearning17-0.75 (5.20m).

Estala is the second sophomore in as many seasons to earn All-America honors after Madison Reynolds ran to a 16th place finish in the 400m dash at last year's NCAA Outdoor National Championship. Additionally, Estala was the first indoor All-American since Jack Whitt in 2013.
