TULSA, Okla. – Former Oral Roberts men's soccer midfielder Edgardo Mira has been called up to play for the El Salvador senior national team and will compete in Houston Saturday.
Edgardo Mira was recently called up to compete for the El Salvador senior national team and will make his first appearance with the squad Saturday, June 2 at 7 p.m. as El Salvador will take on Honduras at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Mira is originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, and came to play for ORU in 2012. Prior to ORU, he played for Sevilla F.C. and was a U-20 selection for the El Salvador national team. He was also named MVP of the Texas Rush.
Mira competed in 50 total games during his time with the Golden Eagles and started in 38 of those games. He recorded 13 goals and eight assists for a total of 34 points. He had a .404 shot-on-goal percentage and two game winning goals in his career.
