Cantor’s Two Goals Push Golden Eagles to Victory

TULSA, Okla. – Senior midfielder Corey Cantor scored t wo goals in the Oral Roberts men's soccer team's 4-2 victory over Bacone College Thursday evening at the Case Soccer Complex.

Bacone came out striking and took a 1-0 lead 11 minutes in to the game. Dare Oganla scored an unassisted goal from 18 yards out after he stole the ball from the defense and connected with the back of the net.

Corey Cantor tied the game 1-1 when he made a spectacular shot from 40-yards out in the center of the field in the 16th minute. Cantor's goal was unassisted and it was his first goal of the season.

The Warriors went in to halftime with a 2-1 lead after Lukas Burt stole the ball from the keeper, dribbled down the back line and scored from the right side of the goal in the 27th minute. Burt's goal was unassisted.

The Golden Eagles made it a 2-2 match when Guiseppe Granara scored his first goal of the season on a Jorge Barrientos corner kick. Granara received the kick and headed the ball in to the goal in the 47th minute. Barrientos was credited with the assist.

ORU then scored two goals on back-to-back penalty kicks and took a 4-2 lead. Corey Cantor captured his second goal of the night in the 61st minute on the team's first penalty kick. One minute later Junior Chavez scored his first goal of the season when he connected with the back of the net on his penalty kick.

- ORU out-shot Bacone 14-4 in the match. The Golden Eagles had nine shots on goal.

- Thibaut Giquel played all 90 minutes for ORU and recorded two saves.

- Guiseppe Granara took four shots in tonight's game with three being on goal.

- Corey Cantor took three shots, all being on goal and scored two goals.

- Between the two teams there were 10 fouls. Bacone had four shots on goal and five saves. There were two yellow cards given in tonight's game  and both were given to Bacone.
