ORU returns to regional poll; Golden Eagles ranked 10th

TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts University men's soccer team found themselves receiving national recognition on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles reentered the NSCAA/Continental Tire West Region top 10 at No. 10.

ORU (8-7-2) clinched a share of the Summit League regular season championship on Saturday with a 5-0 blowout victory over Eastern Illinois. The Golden Eagles are currently on a three-game win streak, including a road victory Western Illinois who is ranked fourth in the current poll.

ORU and WIU will face-off Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. CST in the semifinals of the Summit League Championship Tournament in Denver, Colorado. The tournament host, DU, is No. 8 in the newest edition of the poll.

Other Golden Eagle opponents from the 2014 season that are regionally ranked include Missouri State and Omaha who are ranked No. 3 and No. 6 in the West, respectively. In the East region, Tulsa is No. 1, while SMU is ranked No. 5 and Memphis is No. 10.
