TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts University men's soccer team is set for its final non-Summit League match of the season on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles host Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. at the Case Soccer Complex.
Tuesday's match is the first home match for ORU since October 18.
ORU (6-7-2) is coming off a 2-0 victory on Saturday at Western Illinois that put the Golden Eagles in the race for a share of the Summit League regular season championship. The result handed the Leathernecks their first conference loss of the season.
With a goal last week in a loss at Central Arkansas, and the game-winning goal in the win at WIU on Saturday, Johnny Chavez has scored seven goals this season to lead the league. Ben LaCourse continues his solid play in net for the Golden Eagles and has pulled in the second-most saves in the league this season with 69.
The match against the Golden Eagles is the season finale for UCA. The Bears enter the match with a 3-12-1 mark and are coming off a loss on Saturday at Drake.
UCA finished the Missouri Valley Conference season with the second-fewest goals scored, netting just 14 goals. The Bears are led by Logan Miller, Wes Carson and Alejandro Moquete with two goals each.
ORU and UCA have split the all-time series winning five games apiece, with the Bears winning four of the last five meetings.
