TULSA, Okla.– The Oral Roberts men's basketball team will return to the Mabee Center Thursday night as the Golden Eagles host defending Summit League Champion South Dakota State for a 7 p.m. showdown.

Thursday's game will tip off at 7 p.m. from the Mabee Center and will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and will be available online and on mobile devices through the WatchESPN app. First year radio broadcaster Adam Hildebrandt's radio call of the game can be heard at 1550 AM in the Tulsa area and around the world for free through and through the ORU Athletics Front Row App.

• ORU is 8-9 all-time against SDSU, but is 5-2 at home versus the Jackrabbits. SDSU has won six straight in the series, but each of the last two meetings have been decided by less than 10 points, including a 3-point game in The Summit League Tournament last season.

• ORU has faced one of the toughest nonconference schedules in the nation to start 2016-17. Eight of its nonconference opponents played in the 2016 postseason, including five NCAA Tournament teams. ORU's nonconference strength of schedule is currently 7th according to the NCAA RPI.

• The Golden Eagles return three starters and a total of eight lettermen from last year's squad, including three of the top four in scoring, and more than 50 percent of the total points from last year.

• Junior Albert Owens returns as the leading scorer, rebounder, free throw shooter (made) and shot blocker.

• USA Today picked the Golden Eagles to finish seventh, but tabbed freshman Dezmond McDaniel as the league's Rookie of the Year.
