2016-17 (Senior)
Played in 28 games with 12 starts during his senior season … averaged 6.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game but upped those averages to 6.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in Summit League play … shot 40 percent (57-141) from the field, 35 percent (29-82) from 3-point range and 88 percent (37-42) from the free throw line … had the best free throw percentage on the team and his 88 percent would be second in the Summit League but he fell just short of the minimum to be eligible … grabbed a season and career high seven rebounds against Western Illinois (2/8) and scored a season high 16 points at Fort Wayne (12/13) … scored in double figures four times in his final campaign and 14 times for his career … led ORU in assists once and 16 times for his career … ended his three-year stint at ORU with 50 career starts and a team-best 51 games with at least one 3-pointer made, including 18 in 2016-17. 

2015-16 (Junior)
• 5th in ORU history for 3-pt percentage in a season (.457, 32-70)

One of four Golden Eagles to play in all 31 games, making 13 starts … averaged 5.5 points and 1.4 assists per game … exploded for 29 points with an 8-9 mark from beyond the arc at Denver (1/6) … his .889 3-point percentage in that game is fifth in ORU history and his eight treys tie him for sixth in made threes for a game … scored in double figures four times and was the leading assistant six times … dished out a season high five assists against IUPUI (2/11) and had four helpers at IPFW (12/30).

2014-15 (Sophomore)
7th in ORU history for 3-pt percentage in a season (29-65, .446)

Quickly earned a spot in the starting lineup in his first season with the Golden Eagles … started 25 games, including the final 20 of the year, and played in 31 contests … finished with 60 assists for the season, third on the team, and averaged 6.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game … hit 44.6 percent of his 3-point attempts, the seventh best average in ORU history … best regular season offensive output game was against IPFW (1/17) when he scored 14 points … exploded for 26 points in ORU’s second round CBI game against Loyola (Chicago) (3/23), leading the team in scoring for the first time … connected on 8-16 shots and 4-8 3-pointers and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line against the Ramblers (3/23) … grabbed a season-high four rebounds in three different contests and dished out a season-best eight assists against Western Illinois (2/13) … Averaged 12.8 points per game in over the final five games of the year, including four double-digit efforts … scored in double figures six times, including 12 points against Missouri State (12/15) … scored 10 points each in back-to-back wins over Denver (2/28) and IUPUI (3/8).  

Prior to ORU
Played one season under Scott Edgar at Eastern Oklahoma State … averaged 12 points and four assists per game … career best game was against Western Oklahoma State, pouring in 29 points with four rebounds.

High School
Helped lead his Edmond Memorial HS team to the 2011 and 2013 Class 6A Oklahoma State Championship and was the runner-up in 2012 hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in the state semifinals at the Mabee Center… was named an OBCA All-Star in 2013 … also ran track in high school, finishing as the state runner-up in the 4x100m relay.

Son of Rick and LaSonya Young … chose ORU because “I saw ORU to be the best fit for me, both academically and athletically” … also recruited by UW-Milwaukee, Texas State and North Texas … father Rick is in the Shawnee Basketball Hall of Fame and brother, Josh, played basketball at Drake and played six years professionally in Germany.
