Earned Summit League Freshman of the Year honors … played in all 30 games and started all but senior night … finished fourth on the team in scoring at 9.8 points per game and was the Golden Eagles’ top rebounder at 6.4 boards per game … became the first freshman to lead ORU in rebounding since Caleb Green (2003-04) … scored a season high 21 points at Michigan State (12/3) and grabbed a season-best 17 rebounds against Rogers State (11/14), the second highest single game rebounding total in The Summit League for the season … led ORU in scoring three times and scored at least 10 points in 14 contests, including the last three games of the year … had a pair of 20 point games, including 20 points and 14 rebounds against Ole Miss (11/18) in the Paradise Jam … notched a team best five double-doubles, the most by any freshman in the Summit League and tied for the 12th most among all freshmen in the nation … led all Summit League freshmen in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage … shot 45 percent (117-262) from the field for the season, tied with Kris Martin for the third most made field goals on the team … had a season best five assists at South Dakota (2/18) in the next-to-last game of the year … scored in double figures in six of the last eight games of the season.

Named the Defensive Player of the Year and was an all-state and all-district selection … under Coach Scott Curran, helped his team to the regional tournament … averaged 19.4 points and 11.3 rebounds as a junior and was named the district’s MVP … ranked as the 21st best player in the state of Texas and a three-star recruit by Rivals.

Originally from The Hague, The Netherlands … son of Chioma Nzekwesi … majoring in computer information technology at ORU … also recruited by Weber State, Texas State, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati and Tulane … chose ORU “to grow in my faith and pursue a great college and professional basketball career.”
