OMAHA, Neb. - The final road trip of the regular season for the Oral Roberts men's basketball team begins Thursday as the Golden Eagles travel to Omaha for a 7 p.m. tip off against the Mavericks inside Ralston Arena.
Video of the game will be available for $8.95 through OMavs.com. Geoff Haxton's radio call of the game can be heard at 97.1 FM in the Tulsa area and around the world for free through www.ORUAthletics.com.
- ORU has topped Omaha all three times the two teams have faced off, including the only meeting as conference opponents; a 102-86 win in Tulsa January 14 in which Korey Billbury scored a career high 34 points leading ORU to its first 100-point output since 2011. The two previous meetings were in 1974 and 1976.
- A win Thursday would keep ORU in the hunt for one of the top seeds with three regular season games to play. ORU is currently 7-5, tied with IPFW for third and a half-game ahead of South Dakota. SDSU and NDSU are tied for first at 10-3.
- A loss Thursday would be ORU's 10th loss on the road. ORU has only lost 10 road contests 3 other seasons under Coach Sutton (2008-09, 2010-11, 2013-14).
