- ORU leads the all-time series against the Bison 9-5, including seven of the last eight meetings.
- A win Friday would even ORU's record at 7-7, getting the Golden Eagles back to the .500 mark for the first time since they were 4-4 after home wins over New Mexico State and Missouri State.
- A loss Friday would snap a streak of five years in a row in which ORU has won its conference opener. The last time ORU lost its conference opener was at North Dakota State December 4, 2008.
