TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University Men's Basketball Coach Scott Sutton and his staff used the early signing period to sign four high school seniors to National Letters of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles next year.
The signing class includes a pair of local products in Chris Miller (Booker T. Washington HS) and Chris Crawford (Victory Christian), as well as Kristopher Martin (Dallas Kimball HS) and Javan White (Ames HS).
"I'm excited about this class," said Sutton. "I think it is a very skilled and talented foursome. They are all high character guys who came from good high school programs where they were very well coached."

An proven scorer, Crawford joins ORU after averaging 22.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game for Victory as a junior. Crawford's Victory Christian team has reached the 4A state tournament for the past three years and the guard chose ORU over Tulsa and Fresno State. In 2014, Crawford was named the Tulsa World's All-Metro first team and All-State second team.
"ORU is the best situation for me," Crawford told the Tulsa World. "I'll have a chance for playing time right away and they are in a good conference."

Kristopher Martin (6-4 | G | Dallas, Texas // Kimball
Martin will come to ORU from Dallas-Kimball HS, a team that has won three state championships in four years. A two-star recruit according to ESPN, Martin was recruited by Stephen F. Austin, George Mason,

"Kristopher Martin is a terrific shooter with good size. He is one of the best shooters we've signed in some time. He's really athletic and comes from a great high school program with five Division I signees this year."

Miller averaged 12.4 points and 13 rebounds, and 3.1 points per game as a junior at Booker T. Washington. During the recruiting process, Miller also had interest from Arkansas, Georgia, Arizona State and Eastern Illinois.

"Chris is a big body and a good post presence. He has a really high ceiling and has developed a lot in the last year or so. It is always good to get a local guy from Booker T. Washington."
Javan White (6-8 | F | Ames, Iowa // Ames
White, whose mother Kelly graduated from ORU, will come to ORU from Ames, Iowa, where he averaged 10.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game as a junior. White earned attention from Sam Houston State, Northwestern State, Northern Iowa and others before choosing to play for the Golden Eagles.
"Once I visited, I got to see the facilities and I was really impressed," White told Prep Hoops Iowa. "Once I saw all that I kind of knew, why mess with something else when you love where you're at."

"Javan is a highly-skilled four-man. He knows how to score around the basket and also has the ability to step out and shoot from the perimeter."
ORU opens the regular season Saturday November 15 against Tulsa in the PSO Mayor's Cup game. Tip off from the Mabee Center is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
