Emegano, Billbury Earn All-Summit League Accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Just like they were predicted in the preseason, Oral Roberts' standout junior guards Obi Emegano and Korey Billbury were named to the All-Summit League first and second teams, respectively, it was announced by the league office Thursday.

Emegano earned first team honors after finishing the season second in the league in scoring (18.1 ppg). Twice he was named the Summit League Player of the week. He scored a career high 34 points in ORU's crucial win against then top ranked North Dakota State. Emegano led the league in made free throws in a game, knocking down 14 free throws in three different games, including Tulsa, New Mexico State and Western Illinois. He has 173 made free throws this season, putting him seventh all-time and fifth at the Division I level at ORU. His eight steals against Haskell also led the Summit League and was the third most in a game in ORU history.

Billbury is second on the team in scoring (14.4 ppg) and leads ORU in rebounding (7.4 rpg). He scored a career high 34 points against Omaha, tying Emegano for the second highest single game scoring output in the Summit League this season. His 17 rebounds against Haskell are the second most in the league this season. He ranks fifth in the league in scoring and second in rebounding as well as seventh in assists and sixth in steals, the only player to rank in the top 10 in all four categories. He has nine double-doubles for his career, including five this season.
