FARGO, N.D. – The Oral Roberts baseball team had 11 hits in Friday's game, but fell to North Dakota State 10-7 at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, North Dakota.

The Golden Eagles loaded the bases in the third inning and Noah Cummings hit a 2-RBI single in to the gap on the left side to bring Nick Roark and Trevor McCutchin home and gave ORU a 2-0 lead.

NDSU tied the game at 2-2 when Mason Pierzchalski hit a 2-RBI single in to right field in the bottom of the third inning.

Matt Whatley hit a 2-RBI double down the right field line in the top of the fifth inning and gave the Golden Eagles a 4-2 lead. Whatley's double gave him his 40th and 41st RBI of the season.

Brent Williams hit a high-chop RBI single that brought Whatley home to give the Golden Eagles a 5-2 lead in the top of the fifth inning. It was Williams' 38th RBI of the season. Alec Abercrombie answered with a home-run in the bottom of the fifth for NDSU and made the score 5-3.

The Golden Eagles had one run innings in the sixth and the seventh. Cal Hernandez hit in to a fielders choice and Trevor McCutchin scored a run to make it 6-4 ORU in the top of the sixth. In the seventh, Dylan Snypes singled to right and Noah Cummings scored an unearned run to give ORU a 7-3 lead.

North Dakota State scored five runs in the seventh and took an 8-7 lead. The Bison extended their lead in the eighth inning by adding two more runs and making the score 10-7 in NDSU's favor.

Turning Point

The Bison scored five runs in the seventh inning and took an 8-7 lead and added two more runs in the eighth. The Golden Eagles left three runners on base combined in the eighth and ninth innings.

Inside the Box Score
- McGregor started the game for the Golden Eagles had six strikeouts on the night, but allowed three runs off of seven hits.

- Nick Roark went 4-4 on the night and hit two doubles giving him nine doubles for the season.

- Noah Cummings, The Summit League's RBI leader, continued to drive runners home adding two RBI in the game. Cummings pushed his RBI total to 58 this season, tying for sixth in all of NCAA baseball.

 - Trevor McCutchin went 2-3 and scored two runs in tonight's game. McCutchin came in to pitch and allowed one run off of one hit and had three strikeouts.
