Enjoyed a standout career at Berryhill High School where he was named the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year after leading the Chiefs to an Oklahoma Class 4A state runner-up finish following regional and district titles ... Selected as the 2016 Player of the Year by the Oklahoma Coaches Association and Tulsa Seven behind a .484 batting average, seven home runs, 55 RBI and a .584 on-base percentage, while throwing out 25 of 31 potential base stealers ... Named to the all-state team as a catcher during his senior season and also tabbed as the conference MVP ... As a freshman in 2013, Harper helped Berryhill to a state championship ... Also lettered in football and basketball for the Chiefs ... Was named to the Principal's Honor Roll.
