Williams and McMinn Earn Summit League Weekly Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Oral Roberts first baseman Brent Williams was named Summit League Baseball Player of the Week, while Oral Roberts relief pitcher Josh McMinn and Omaha starter Sam Murphy garnered the league's Pitcher of the Week awards for their performances during the week of March 28 – April 3.

Jr.  // 1B // Colorado Springs, Colo.

  • Collected his first career Player of the Week award after leading Oral Roberts to a perfect 4-0 record on the week
  • Went 4-for-5 with four runs scored, two RBI, a double and home run in the Golden Eagles' 10-3 win over North Dakota State on Friday
  • Added a pair of hits in both games in the doubleheader on Sunday, including recording three RBI in the first contest
  • Also had a double in Wednesday's extra inning win at Kansas State to extend his hitting streak to 12 games
  • For the week, batted .562 with a .600 on-base percentage and 1.062 slugging percentage
  • Added six RBI, six runs, two doubles, two homers along with three walks

  • Earned the win in relief in Sunday's 6-3 win over North Dakota State
  • Tossed the final five innings, allowing no hits with four strikeouts to secure the victory
  • Also tossed one inning in Wednesday's victory at Kansas State
  • On the week, pitched six innings with four strikeouts, one walk and one hit with no earned runs

  • Earned his first career Summit League Pitcher of the Week honor
  • Tossed seven shutout innings Saturday allowing just two hits while fanning a career-high 11 batters in the no decision
  • His seven innings were a career-best and is 2-1 with a league-low 0.87 ERA on the year
