TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts baseball will hit the road for the first time in seven games as the team heads north to take on Kansas State in a nonconference matchup in Manhattan, Kan. The teams will take the field at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore right-hander Cale Tims will get the start for the Golden Eagles coming off of wins against Mississippi State and Oklahoma.

SERIES HISTORY WITH KANSAS STATE
Oral Roberts and Kansas State will meet for the first time since 2006. The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series, 35-20. The last time K-State and Oral Roberts met in Manhattan was on April 4, 2001, when the Golden Eagles won, 11-3. K-State's last win against ORU came in 1997 in Manhattan when the Wildcats won 13-12.
LEADING THE WAY
To no one's surprise, Matt Whatley has been the consistent carrier of the offensive load this season, batting .355 with six doubles, three triples, four home runs and 18 RBI, but senior Rolando Martinez has stepped into the spotlight as well. Martinez leads ORU with a .356 average and has driven in 13 runs while drawing 16 walks on the year. The lefty holds a team-high .484 on-base percentage and has scored 16 runs this season.
LOOKING BACK ON THE WEEK
The Golden Eagles are coming off a 5-0 shutout of Oklahoma on Tuesday. Cale Tims tossed six and two third innings of four hit baseball on his way to his second victory of the season. Matt Whatley led the charge offensively going 2-of-4 with a double, triple, walk and two runs scored. The win pushes ORU's streak to four games versus the Sooners with three of the wins being shutouts. The Golden Eagles have given up only one run in the last four meetings to OU.
Over the weekend, the Golden Eagles took two games from IPFW at J.L. Johnson Stadium. After dropping the Friday night contest to the Mastodons 6-3, the team went on to outscore IPFW 20-2 over the next two games including a 15-0 route in which ORU pitchers combined to one-hit the Dons.
Junior Brent Williams led the team over the week with five base hits and seven RBI for a .357 average. The Colorado Springs, Colo. native also picked up three walks and scored four times.
ANY WAY, ANY HOW
Rolando Martinez comes into the weekend series with a team-high .484 on base percent. The senior is second on the team with 16 walks and has strung together 26 hits in 22 starts. He also leads the team with an 14 game reached base streak that began Mar. 5 against Little Rock when he blasted his second home run of the season.
The Golden Eagles have been keen to getting out of trouble when opponents put runners on base this season, turning 25 double plays on the year. Against Little Rock, ORU was able to turn nine during the series. The team ranks 16th in the nation in the category and first in the Summit.
COACH GETS 100
Oral Roberts Head Coach Ryan Folmar eclipsed the 100-win mark over the in March with a 14-5 victory over Little Rock. He became the sixth coach in program history to reach 100-wins.
TWO-STRAIGHT, 30-WIN SEASONS
The 2015 squad topped the 30-win plateau for the second straight year. The two-straight 30-win seasons were accompanied for the first time in as many years with a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
