Zupcic spent three season with the Titans, earning Freshman All-American honors in 1985 and The Sporting News third-team All-America honors in 1987. He batted .335 in three seasons, with 26 home runs and 135 RBI in 197 career games. Following his junior campaign in 1987, Zupcic was drafted in the first round by the Boston Red Sox. Zupcic made his MLB debut on Sept 7, 1991 against the Seattle Mariners. In 1992, Zupcic became Boston’s regular right fielder and batted .276 with three home runs and 43 RBI in 124 games.
