TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts student-athletes will be reporting for the fall semester soon, and ORU Athletics is encouraging them to set "The Golden Standard" in 2018-19 as a new marketing campaign was announced, Friday.
"We are excited for the 2018-19 school year and the athletic and academic success of our teams," said Senior Associate A.D. Tim Johnson. "Last year we asked our student-athletes, alumni and fans to "Rise Up" and they answered that call with 67 All-Summit League selections, two All-Americans and a banner year for the Golden Eagle Club. Now we are trying to take it a step further by setting "The Golden Standard" for excellence in all aspects of the department."
The new campaign will feature all 16 Golden Eagle athletic teams and will include billboards around Tulsa, TV and newspaper ads, and various social media graphics and videos.
Fans are encouraged to unite with the Golden Eagles by changing their social media profile pictures to the new "Golden Standard" logo and by using the hashtag #GoldenStandard in social media posts.
