ELMHURST, Ill. − With the 2015-16 academic year complete, The Summit League announced its Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll. A total of 1,094 Summit League student-athletes from baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track & field have been honored for their academic excellence.
- Student-athletes must have at least a 3.00 grade-point average in the semester in which they compete and must use a year of eligibility.
- A total of 1,094 student-athletes across 12 sports were honored.
- South Dakota State led with 183 honorees followed by South Dakota (158) and North Dakota State (133).
In order to be selected to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 or better grade-point average (GPA) in the semester in which they compete and must use a year of eligibility. In order to be named a Distinguished Scholar, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.60 GPA in the semester in which they compete and must use a year of eligibility.

- North Dakota State (133)
- Omaha (126)
- IUPUI (121)
- Western Illinois (118)
- Denver (83)
- Fort Wayne (73)
- Oral Roberts (72)
- Eastern Illinois (27) - associate swimming & diving member
