TULSA, Okla. – The Summit League-leading Oral Roberts volleyball holds a one-match lead for first place and begins a critical stretch run when it hosts North Dakota State (Oct. 27) and South Dakota State (Oct. 29) at the Aerobics Center over the weekend.
•The Golden Eagles are riding a four-match win streak after wins at Fort Wayne and Western Illinois heading into a home weekend against the Bison and Jackrabbits. ORU goes for the season sweep over both opponents, while off to its best start in conference play since posting an 11-1 record in the 2011 campaign.
•Laura Milos, the Oct. 3 National Player of the Week by Sports Imports/AVCA and VolleyMob, earned her fourth Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor of the year Monday and ranks fourth nationally with 399 total kills and third totaling 5.25 kills per set. The senior became the first player in the NCAA this season to register double-digit service aces with 10 in the sweep over the Leathernecks Sunday and now is fourth in the country averaging 0.55 aces per set.
•Setter Lucija Bojanjac, the ORU's all-time assists leader, moved into The Summit League's top 10 for career assists with 4,043 in her tenure totaling 419 this season (5.51 per set). Bria Bergman has added 413 assists (5.43 per set) helping the Golden Eagles lead the conference in assists per set, ranking 45th in the country at 12.91.
•CeCe Madison currently ranks fourth in the league with 244 kills and fifth averaging 3.21 kills per set, while hitting double-digit kills 16 times.
•Libero Tori Roe needs just 20 digs to become the ninth player in program history to reach 1,000 for her career as the junior is averaging 3.54 digs per set.
•The Golden Eagles are serving up a frenzy of late registering 40 aces over their last six matches (2.86 per set), including a season-best 12 at WIU.
•ORU holds an 8-15 record against NDSU in the all-time series, while owning a 13-4 mark over SDSU after winning seven-straight over the Jackrabbits.
•The Bison saw their three-match win streak snapped at home to South Dakota Sunday, but remain in the hunt down the stretch sitting in fourth place in The Summit League standings just two games out of first. SDSU has dropped nine-consecutive matches to begin conference play and won just two sets in that stretch.
•The Golden Eagles have reached the conference tournament each of the last five seasons. They were eliminated in the semifinals by host and top-seed Denver in 2016.
