ORU Women Picked Third in Summit League Preseason Poll

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's golf team was picked to finish third in the Summit League this season it was announced by the league office Friday. The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.  

Picked third, ORU tallied 50 total points after finishing tied for third a year ago. Denver was a picked to win the league with 64 points and eight of the nine first place votes since coaches aren't allowed to vote for their own team.

Kennedy Ishee led ORU during the fall with a 74.5 stroke average which is sixth in The Summit League. Ishee is one of nine all-league performers returning this year.

ORU amassed a 37-21 record in four tournaments during the fall season finishing runner-up at the Bob Hurley ORU Shootout and third at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial. The Golden Eagles will begin the spring season February 13-14 in the Battle at Boulder in Las Vegas, Nevada.
