TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts head men's basketball coach Paul Mills has announced the signing of Francis Lacis, a 6-7 forward from Riga, Latvia.
Lacis is a four-time Latvian Youth League Champion, a three time EYBL MVP and a three-time slam dunk champion. Rated a top 50 prospect in Europe by EuroHope, he is averaging 12 points and eight rebounds in the Latvian League, second division this season. Lacis holds career records of 36 points, 25 rebounds, eight assists, 11 blocks and eight steals.
The son of Vineta Vilistere-Lace and Karlis Lacis, Francis graduated from music school as a drummer and will major in visual arts or marketing at ORU.
