Local Talent on Display for ORU Baseball in 2018

2018 Roster

TULSA, Okla. – When the Oral Roberts baseball team opens fall practice Thursday, it will showcase a plethora of talent from right in its own backyard, featuring 19 players from the state of Oklahoma.

Eighteen players have come to ORU's campus from a range of 100 miles or less helping to build a fan base for a team that has made 27 NCAA Regional appearances in program history.

"We are fortunate to be in a baseball rich community," ORU head coach Ryan Folmar said. "Our first priority is to recruit locally and we have been able to sign some outstanding players from Oklahoma. We continue to evaluate and recruit this area heavily as it has been very good for us, and this year is no exception."

The Golden Eagles have successfully recruited northeastern Oklahoma for more than half of the 2018 roster, totaling 34 student-athletes. The lineup includes a balance of veterans with the inclusion of experienced junior college players and talented freshmen.
