TULSA, Okla. – As the end of fall practice nears, that means one thing for the Oral Roberts baseball team; it's time for the annual Blue-Gold Fall World Series. The Golden Eagles will host the series November 1, 3 and 5 at J.L. Johnson Stadium and each day is open to the public with free admission.
The series gets underway Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. marking the first time the public has the opportunity to see the 2017 version of the Golden Eagles under the helm of fifth-year head coach Ryan Folmar. Game two is slated for a 6 p.m. start Thursday, while the final game of the series is scheduled for Saturday with first pitch at 2 p.m.
ORU closed the 2016 campaign with a 38-21 overall record going 22-8 in The Summit League winning both the regular season and postseason titles. The Golden Eagles advanced to an NCAA Regional for the second-consecutive year and the 26th time in program history.
The 2017 season kicks off February 17-19 when the Golden Eagles welcome Little Rock to J.L. Johnson Stadium for a three-game series.
