Oral Roberts University opened the $1.6 million Golden Eagle Sports Complex in early 2006. The complex is part of J.L. Johnson Stadium, ORU’s baseball facility.
The Golden Eagle Sports Complex includes the Burkhart Strength and Conditioning Center, baseball offices, and the Grand Slam Room along the right field line at J.L. Johnson Stadium. - Baseball Offices: Four new offices, a reception/secretarial area, work room, locker rooms and lounge are the main features of the 1,800-square feet of space.
- The Grand Slam Room: Located above the coaches offices, the Grand Slam Room includes a 1,450-square foot hospitality room for press conferences, meetings and game-day functions; and a 300-square foot exterior observation deck.
- Indoor Practice Facility: 35,000-square feet of space includes artificial turf, an infield for baseball practice, and enough room for soccer and track & field to practice as well.
