TULSA, Okla. – Former Oral Roberts University men’s basketball standout Marcus Lewis has been added to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s summer league team, it was announced last week. It is the second year in a row in which ORU has had a representative on an NBA summer squad after Warren Niles spent time with Golden State in 2013.

Lewis was a Summit League all-newcomer selection in 2008 after transferring from Portland. As a senior in 2009, he was the second leading scorer and second leading rebounder on the team, scoring 13.3 points per game and grabbing 7.2 rebounds per contest.  For his ORU career, Lewis averaged 10.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, scoring nearly 700 points in two seasons.

Since college, Lewis has spent time with the Tulsa 66ers and has played overseas with a number of different teams. In 2011, Lewis played for the Team USA in the Pan American Games, winning a bronze medal.

The official release from the Thunder including the full roster can be found here.
